Litters

We strongly believe in only breeding to maintain or better the breed, which is why, as members of both, we follow the Kennel Club and Hungarian Vizsla Society guidelines, as well as our own best practice standards.

Thorough health testing is essential, so we always ensure both our Dam and the Sire have had the relevant health checks as recommended by the Kennel Club. Beyond ensuring we have a low inbreeding co-efficient (COI) we also check for temperament and physical characteristics of the Sire to ensure the litter is as healthy and evenly tempered as they can be.

Although we breed for family homes, Vizslas are a hunt, point, retrieve dog (HPR) that have been bred and worked as gun dogs since the eighth century, so although they’ll happily snuggle on the sofa with you, they’d be equally happy to run, hunt or play with you.

For suitability, we temperament test the litter at six weeks old, but monitor them all from birth as they’re born and bred in our home. We see them develop physically and mentally which allows us to guide potential owners and ensure they have the best suited pup for their lifestyle and circumstances.

All our puppies go to their new homes with everything they possibly need such as;

  • Kennel Club Pedigree certificate

  • Five generation pedigree

  • Microchipped with details

  • Prey model raw (PMR) weaned

  • One weeks raw food (PMR)

  • Puppy pack tote bag, including a toy, a blanket that smells of Mum and treats

  • Extensive puppy information booklet

  • Five weeks Kennel Club Insurance

Beyond all of the above, our puppies are all born and bred with our family, for a family and all owners have lifetime access to us as the breeders for help and advice, as well as a litter Whatsapp support group and our private Facebook group to share your pup’s progress and keep in touch with their siblings.
